Ang Panday

Flavio II and his wife Carmen welcome a newborn boy into the province. Rosa Batungbakal is entrusted to care for him, but Lizardo's unlatched spirit and his goons assault the house. Rosa leads the infant to a church for safety while Flavio fends off the intruders, and Flavio dies after a final clash with the spirit. The assailant vows to rule the world.

The child grows into Flavio Batungbakal III, a gangster in Tondo who is soon apprehended by the police. After his release, his stepfather Andoy warns him not to cause havoc on the streets. He pursues a life of risk while quietly befriending Maria, though her parents disapprove of him.

A new human form of Lizardo appears in the shadows alongside his father and becomes strongly attracted to Maria. Around the same time, a beauty contest in the city unfolds, adding tension and setting the stage for conflict.

A reincarnated Lizardo secretly schemes to take over the country by disguising himself as a businessman. Citizens begin turning into aswangs, marking the beginning of a creeping invasion. During one attack, Diego is bitten by an aswang disguised as a dog, worsening his injury.

An old man carrying a magical book encounters Flavio and threatens him with a butterfly knife. He explains that Flavio alone carries a bloodline capable of stopping Lizardo and his army, marking him as the key to saving the country.

Flavio is handed a map and sets off on a bus journey to seek a mythical dagger that could aid his fight. His journey leads through forests where the landscape shifts into a magical world, hinting at the trials ahead.

In the forest, Flavio meets dwarves and a diwata who guide him to the Kingdom of Light. He defeats a skilled swordsman and retrieves the dagger from a cave, which he summons upward to become the double-edged sword of his grandfather, the original Panday.

Flavio returns with the reforged weapon and fights off most of the aswangs in the community. Diego's injury worsens and he turns into a reluctant aswang who sacrifices himself rather than harm anyone else. The community braces for further threats as Flavio fights to shield them.

Lizardo lands a fatal blow, fatally stabbing Flavio and sending him into a coma. An old man revives him, explaining that he must undergo training to stand a chance against Lizardo once more.

Flavio travels to the mountains for rigorous training and then is guided into a desert world where his sword skills are honed further. He forges his weapon into a weapon fit to confront Lizardo and prepares for the ultimate battle.

In the desert world, Flavio faces Lizardo's dark power and soldiers in a climactic duel. The echo of darkness swells to empower Lizardo, yet Flavio finds a weak spot and defeats him with a decisive strike.

Flavio, Maria, and their family visit a church to commemorate their victory over Lizardo. He vows to continue guarding the world from future threats, signaling a new era for his legend and the people he protects.
