12‑year‑old Anne is stunned when her uncle Cornelius, a marine biologist from Antarctica, arrives at her parents’ Cologne home with a penguin in his luggage. He asks her to watch the bird. She names it Amundsen, empties the fridge and finds a spot for the visitor. Their joy fades when three men, led by ruthless Kullmann, appear after the penguin.
