The film opens with Gangaram, a ruthless gangster, drawing the attention of the powerful wizard Malabar Baba. He seeks out the ancient and dangerous art known as Parakaya Pravesha, the phenomenon where one person’s soul can enter another body. Before long, a violent confrontation leaves Gangaram gravely wounded, and his spirit is forced to find a new vessel. In a twist of fate, his soul ends up inside a doll, setting off a chain of supernatural misadventures.

Enter Rambabu, a quirky ventriloquist in Eluru who uses his talent to needle everyone—much to the exasperation of his mother Parvatamma. He has his eye on Lakshmi, his neighbor and the daughter of Head Constable Nukka Raju, but their romance is threatened by a scheming relative who wants to bind Lakshmi to his own underling. Meanwhile, Sowmya, Rambabu’s cross-cousin who has returned from the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in Criminal Psychology, arranges for the delivery of the doll that holds Gangaram’s soul. With the doll in hand, Rambabu’s life begins to spin out of control.

Sowmya’s return also rekindles a romance with Inspector Mahesh, and the two fall in love as they navigate the growing chaos. The tension escalates when Rambabu insults Janardhan Seth, the stern house owner, who retaliates by sealing Rambabu’s belongings. Enraged, Rambabu confronts him, and the doll—possessed by Gangaram—kills Janardhan Seth, presenting a grim shock to everyone involved. Shortly after, Mahesh arrives with Sowmya, and he immediately suspects Rambabu of being a hitman. Rambabu is arrested, while Gangaram plots to seize Rambabu’s body for good.

As the pursuit heats up, Gangaram enlists Deva and intensifies his efforts to inhabit Rambabu’s form. Yet the post-mortem clears Rambabu of guilt, complicating the case and frustrating the gang’s plan. Gangaram’s attempts to take over Rambabu’s body are thwarted, and the doll—now a crucial clue in Sowmya’s criminal psychology work—becomes a dangerous weapon that even targets Sowmya at night in a bid to exact vengeance. Sowmya survives the attack and seeks Mahesh’s help to uncover the truth.

Together, Mahesh and Sowmya uncover the whereabouts of Malabar Baba, who reveals the only way to stop Gangaram: shoot him between the eyebrows before he passes into Rambabu’s body. The chase culminates in a decisive showdown, and Mahesh’s shot destroys Gangaram just before he can complete the transfer. In the aftermath, Rambabu’s life returns to a semblance of normalcy, and he reunites with Lakshmi. The story closes on a double wedding, with Rambabu and Lakshmi tying the knot and Mahesh marrying Sowmya, bringing both relationships to a hopeful, peaceful end.
