Amma I Love You

Siddharth Shivakumar, also known as Siddhu, is introduced as a wealthy businessman from Mysore, inheriting a textile empire built by his mother Annapoorna after his father's early death. He returns from abroad after graduation to take charge of the family business, establishing his role in the community. The story begins with his active involvement in managing the business and family affairs.

Annapoorna, Siddhu's mother, meets with an accident at the factory and falls into a coma. Despite efforts to save her through medical treatment, she remains unconscious. This crisis puts pressure on Siddhu to find a solution to save her life, intensifying the stakes for their family.

Siddhu encounters a sage on a mountain, who provides a cryptic but hopeful solution, suggesting that Siddhu must live as a beggar for 48 days to earn the power to save his mother. The sage emphasizes the conditions of secrecy and anonymity in this penance.

Siddhu accepts the sage's advice and leaves his life of wealth behind. He informs his friend Rajesh to look after his business and travels to Bangalore, where he joins other beggars at a temple to live as a pauper, starting his 48-day penance. During this time, he begins begging to fulfill the sage's conditions.

While living as a beggar, Siddhu meets Bindu, a charitable and kind-hearted woman. He is attracted to her warmth and compassion. Unbeknownst to her, Siddhu's initial reason for approaching her was related to his secret mission to save his mother.

Bindu learns about Siddhu's true identity as a wealthy businessman when her mother shows her his photo. She is shocked but continues to be impressed by his noble character. She begins to suspect Siddhu's sacrifice is driven by love and a desire to save his mother.

Bindu overhears Siddhu discussing his life as a beggar with his friend Rajesh. She realizes his sacrifice and decides to support him silently, while their bond deepens as she admires his integrity and selflessness.

Siddhu uncovers that a group of doctors running a mental health centre is secretly conducting illegal experiments on patients. With the help of a beggar pretending to be a mentally challenged girl, he gathers evidence of their wrongdoings.

Realizing Siddhu's interference threatens their illegal activities, the doctors hire Arun Kale, a contract killer, to eliminate him. Meanwhile, Puttappa, Siddhu's greedy uncle-in-law, also hires Arun to kill Siddhu for his inheritance.

Siddhu and Bindu are attacked by Arun Kale and his goons. During the confrontation, Bindu is accidentally stabbed and hospitalized. Siddhu's friends help him with money to pay for her treatment, highlighting the ongoing danger and urgency.

The illegal psychiatric centre is shut down, and the doctors, Arun Kale, and Puttappa are arrested by police, bringing justice against their illegal dealings. Siddhu's efforts to expose the corruption are successful, restoring some sense of righteousness.

After completing the 48 days, Siddhu returns home with Rajesh to find Annapoorna's health unchanged. He prays for her recovery, and unexpectedly, she begins to show signs of improvement, suggesting the power of faith and hope.

Six months later, Annapoorna fully recovers from her coma, and Siddhu marries Bindu. Their union symbolizes the fulfillment of Siddhu's sacrifice and the triumph of love and perseverance over adversity.

A beggar approaches Siddhu for alms, but Siddhu, busy on the phone, fails to notice. Annapoorna reminds him of the harsh realities of a beggar’s life and urges kindness towards them, revealing her lack of awareness of Siddhu's sacrifice.
