In 2018, Akin, a Cuban doctor, participates in the Mais Medicos/More Doctors program in Brazil, providing care within an indigenous community. He develops close relationships with locals, including Érica and Sérgio, deepening his connection to the country. However, the political climate shifts with the election of Jair Bolsonaro, abruptly ending medical cooperation between Cuba and Brazil. Akin is then faced with a difficult choice: return to Cuba, leaving his burgeoning relationships behind, or remain in Brazil and find a new path, unable to practice medicine.
