Sirish informs Athreya about an unidentified body found in Venkatachalam, triggering his investigative instincts. When Athreya arrives at the scene, CI Gautham Krishna arrests him on suspicion of murder, turning the case against him. The arrest hints at a larger conspiracy surrounding the corpse.

In prison that night, Athreya meets Maruthi Rao, who speaks of his missing daughter Divya and a murder tied to Ongole. Maruthi Rao provides three phone numbers Divya was contacting before her death, claiming the police framed him. Athreya begins to sense a broader conspiracy behind the events.

Athreya and Sneha trace the three numbers to Ajay, Harsha, and Vasudha. They learn Ajay and Harsha were in Ongole on the day Divya was murdered, while Vasudha cannot be traced. The leads tighten the circle around a network linked to Divya's death.

Athreya spots a woman who resembles Divya on a highway, but she does not respond to him. He suspects the Divya case is connected to the broader conspiracy he's uncovering. He traces Maruthi Rao to the Nellore sub-jail and learns that Maruthi Rao is actually Gopalam.

Athreya discovers a chilling pattern: unidentified bodies are dumped next to railway tracks and, after 72 hours, are cremated by the Railway Authorities. He deduces the bodies are loaded onto a Chennai-to-Delhi goods train, with the loading point at Arambakkam, Tamil Nadu. The revelation points to a nationwide operation that treats human remains as commodities.

With help from SI Vamsi, Bobby, and Sneha, Athreya travels to Arambakkam and corners Gopalam, who confesses the scheme: an organization hires him to remove dead bodies from Hindu families under the pretext of Kasi cremations for money, then dumps them on tracks. Fingerprints from the bodies are stolen to enable other crimes, including elections rigging. Gopalam reveals the operation even touched Athreya's own mother, breaking him emotionally.

Sneha and Vamsi uncover that Ajay, Harsha, and Vasudha were students engaged in a college project about religious crimes; Vasudha emerges as the mastermind. The trio were murdered to silence their findings, and Vasudha even attempted to murder Athreya to frame Bobby. The team traces Vasudha to Rajasthan, at a Karni Mata Temple hideout, and hands her and her father over to Nellore police, tying the threads together. Athreya bids farewell to Bobby and, with Sneha, visits the Bethaballi Amman crematorium to pay respects before continuing his line of petty cases, hinting at a sequel.
