Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya

Athreya was arrested by CI Gautham Krishna on murder charges as part of a larger conspiracy to frame him. The arrest was theatrical and abrupt, designed to silence him when he got too close to investigating the body. The real purpose was to stop him from uncovering a network that had been dumping bodies and using them for criminal activities like election rigging.

Maruthi Rao claims to be a father whose daughter Divya vanished after a trip to Ongole. However, his real name is Gopalam, and he is actually the man Athreya has been chasing. He is a key figure in the body-dumping network, hired by an organization to collect dead bodies from Hindu families under the pretense of cremating them in Kasi, but instead dumping them on railway tracks.

Athreya first encounters Maruthi Rao in prison, where he provides phone numbers that lead the investigation deeper into the conspiracy.

Vasudha appears to be one of three young people Athreya traces through Divya's phone numbers, but she is actually the mastermind behind the entire operation. She and her father ran the conspiracy from a hideout near Karni Mata Temple in Rajasthan. She orchestrated the murders of Ajay and Harsha to silence them, as they were students researching religious crimes and had discovered the truth.

Vasudha cannot be traced initially, and her missing person report is filed later, hinting at her deeper involvement.

The organization hires men like Gopalam to collect dead bodies from Hindu families, promising families they will cremate the bodies in Kasi for a fee. Instead, the bodies are dumped along railway tracks between Kakinada and Tada. After 72 hours, the Railway Authorities cremate unclaimed bodies. The fingerprints from these corpses are stolen to enable further crimes, including rigging elections and framing rivals.

Athreya notices a pattern of bodies appearing along the railway corridor before connecting the dots to Arambakkam.

Gopalam reveals during his confession in Arambakkam that Athreya's mother was one of the victims of the body-dumping scheme. Her death years ago, which Athreya had been grieving, was part of the same operation. This emotionally breaks Athreya and motivates him to bring down the entire network.

Athreya has been haunted by his mother's mysterious death since the beginning, using that pain to fuel his search for truth.

Ajay and Harsha were college students working on a project about religious crimes in India. While researching, they discovered the body-dumping conspiracy and were getting close to exposing it. Vasudha, who was leading the operation, had them murdered to silence them. Athreya was then framed for their murders to deflect suspicion away from the real culprits.

The three phone numbers from Divya's case lead to Ajay, Harsha, and Vasudha, who were all in Ongole on the day she disappeared.

Bobby is an amateur detective from Hassan, Karnataka, who runs his own FBI (Fatma Bureau of Investigation). He had been tailing Athreya after being fed false information that Athreya was the real murderer. Bobby serves as a mirror image to Athreya, both are quirky, persistent detectives. Once the误会 is cleared, Bobby teams up with Athreya to unravel the conspiracy.

Athreya notices someone following him throughout the investigation before confronting Bobby.

After being framed for Ajay and Harsha's murders, Athreya is granted bail thanks to CCTV footage proving he was in the Nellore sub-jail when the murders occurred. However, the court gives him only five days to prove his innocence before the bail will be canceled. This creates a ticking clock that intensifies the investigation.

Athreya's arrest and framing happen rapidly, setting up the urgent timeline.

The Bethaballi Amman NGO is connected to the conspiracy. Talismans from this NGO were used as symbols of sanctity and protection. The conspiracy was designed to ensure these talismans would not be found among the corpse tags, as they could link the bodies to the religious organization. The final confrontation leads investigators to the NGO offices, only to find them deserted.

The investigation consistently circles around religious entities and the use of sacred symbols for criminal purposes.

Athreya spots a woman on the highway who resembles Divya Maruthi Rao, but she has a different father and does not respond to his attempts to speak to her. This encounter is a red herring in the film, designed to echo cases that feel just out of reach and taunt the detective with the possibility of a larger scheme. It adds to the atmosphere of deception and misdirection.

The lookalike appears early in the investigation, adding mystery before the true conspiracy unfolds.

Vasudha orchestrates a complex plan where she frames Bobby for the murders she committed. After Ajay and Harsha are killed and Athreya is framed, Vasudha manipulates the investigation to make Bobby appear guilty. This is part of her broader strategy to eliminate anyone getting close to the truth while maintaining her cover as a missing person.

Bobby's initial suspicion of Athreya was part of the setup designed to pit detectives against each other.

The movie ends with Athreya and his team cornering Vasudha and her father near Karni Mata Temple in Rajasthan and handing them over to Nellore police. After bidding farewell to Bobby, Athreya and Sneha visit the Bethaballi Amman crematorium to pay respects to the dead. Athreya returns to his petty cases in Nellore, continuing his work as a detective. The ending hints at a possible sequel with the door left open.

The final scene mirrors the opening, showing Athreya returning to his routine work after the big case.
