In the wake of a tense rescue that spans time itself, the S.H.I.E.L.D. team grapples with the fallout of pulling Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie, Deke Shaw, and Phil Coulson out of 1983 and upgrading Coulson with a new LMD body. To keep the ship from collapsing into chaos, they must enlist Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, whose Inhuman powers are presently inactive, to deactivate the erratic drive. Daisy Johnson urges a quick detour to the Inhuman sanctuary Afterlife, hoping Jiaying, Daisy’s mother, can lend guidance or power to stabilize things.
