Dharmasthali and the adjoining hamlet Padaghattam sit as temple towns, cradled by the dense Siddhavanam forest and bound by a shared faith in the goddess Gattamma. In Basava’s iron-fisted rule, the local municipal chairman aims to hand over the lands of Dharmasthali and Padaghattam to Rathod and his brother Vikram so a mining operation can begin. The people, celebrated for their expertise in Ayurvedic medicine, begin visiting Dharmasthali less often as Basava’s cruel regime tightens its grip, and the two towns feel more fragile than ever.

Acharya, a naxal who moves through Dharmasthali under the cover of a carpenter’s trade, arrives to counter Basava’s atrocities. Acharya’s mission isn’t random; he comes to fulfill a promise made to his best friend Siddha, a vow that invites the villagers to learn the truth about Siddha’s past and origin. Siddha, Ram Charan, is introduced as a devout disciple of the local Gurukul and a steadfast advocate for Dharma, training alongside Basava and the other men who inhabit the same sacred space. His beliefs are rooted in a faith that binds the village together, shaping the way they respond to Basava’s growing threat.

As the plot unfolds, it becomes clear that Siddha’s lineage is more complex than it first appears. Basava hatches a plan with Vikram and Rathod’s ally to flood and then blast the Gattamma Temple, using the deluge as a cover for mining operations that would strip Padaghattam of its sacred land. Siddha discovers the scheme and confronts the trio on the night they intend to destroy the temple, leaving him gravely wounded in the ensuing struggle. The village’s last-ditch hope rests with Acharya, whose squad quickly arrives to extract Siddha and carry him away into the sheltering greenery of the Siddhavanam forest, where healing begins.

Siddha’s awakening brings a torrent of revelations. Bose, Banerjee, a close comrade of Acharya, pulls back the curtain on Siddha’s origins: Siddha was born to Comrade Shankar, Acharya’s naxal squadron leader, and raised away from the village to protect him from Basava’s reach. In a gunfight with local law enforcement, Siddha’s parents fall, and Shankar promises to raise Siddha with a continuous awareness of their shared fight for Dharma. To shield him from further danger, Acharya entrusts the newborn Siddha to Adanna, Nassar, who raises him within Dharmasthali while Acharya watches from afar, quietly guiding his development.

As Siddha grows, he willingly enters into Acharya’s naxal fold, his sense of purpose sharpened by experiences that reveal the village’s broader struggle against exploitation. During a daring rescue mission to save Adivasi children from forced labor in Rathod’s mines, Siddha uncovers a map detailing lands scheduled for blasting—lands that include Padaghattam and Dharmasthali. He returns home determined to halt the mining, but the confrontation triggers a deadly clash with Rathod’s henchmen. In the ensuing chaos, Siddha is fatally shot by a henchman named Khilla, sealing a grave moment in the village and among Acharya’s ranks. Before he dies, Siddha’s fate intensifies the resolve of Acharya, who vows to protect the village and stop Basava and Rathod from wiping out their home.

With Siddha’s past laid bare, Acharya is arrested, and Basava and Rathod seize the moment to wipe out Padaghattam during the festival of Gattamma. But Acharya’s squad stages a dramatic breakout from the police convoy, and the fight to defend the village begins in earnest. One by one, Acharya defeats Rathod’s men, including Vikram and Khilla, and then overthrows Rathod and Basava, avenging Siddha’s death and delivering a hard-earned sense of justice to the community.

In the aftermath, Acharya bids a quiet farewell to Padaghattam and Dharmasthali, and he returns to the forest with his squad to continue Siddha’s legacy—an enduring pledge to uphold Dharma and defend those who cannot defend themselves. The story leaves the village with a renewed sense of purpose and a reminder that courage can rise even from the loss of a beloved comrade, carrying forward the fight against oppression for generations to come.
