Vagabond singer Aladdin roams the city with his pickpocket friend Abdullah, keeping him out of trouble. Abdullah is treated as mad by many, claiming he was born 1200 years too early, speaks in 1940s slang, and oddly knows about television. The unlikely duo relies on each other to survive.
