In February 2004, after three decades living in SoHo, the filmmaker moves to Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The video explores the emotions of leaving a long‑time home and family hub, and the process of planting new roots, friendships, and experiences. It also reflects on the artist’s journey with moving‑image tools—from mastering a Bolex in 1949 to a Sony camera in 1987—culminating in “A Letter from Greenpoint” as his first substantial video work.
