When he was four, Jonathan Parker’s mother and a Salvation Army Kris Kringle convinced him that Santa Claus was real. Now 24, orphaned and a pot‑smoking college dropout, he writes a letter to Santa hoping to find true love. He meets Toby, a new coworker, and believes she’s his destined partner, even after learning she has a longtime boyfriend, Keith. Undeterred, Jonathan’s desperate pursuit threatens everyone around him as Christmas approaches.
