Composer Lorin Maazel adapts Orwell’s 1984 into an operatic experience, portraying a totalitarian world where Big Brother watches and thoughtcrimes lead to the dreaded Room 101. Filmed during the world‑premiere of Robert Lepage’s Royal Opera production, Maazel conducts an international cast that brings the novel’s dark vision vividly to life.
