Successive lead guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page powered The Yardbirds, a seminal British blues‑rock band. Starting in 1964 with Clapton’s fiery playing, they sparked the blues revival and foreshadowed psychedelia. After Clapton left for John Mayall, Beck took over, later sharing duties with Page. Beck’s 1966 exit let Page steer the group toward heavier, experimental sounds that birthed Led Zeppelin. The documentary shows performances and members’ recollections of rock’s wave.
