Kamali, a bright graduate, builds a simple life in Kuduremukha with her sister Malliga and brother-in-law Shekar as she hunts for a steady job. A sudden turn of fate comes when her purse is stolen during a trip to Bangalore, threatening to derail her hopes by jeopardizing her academic certificates. But a kind, carefree man from Jaipur steps in: Surya finds the purse and returns it, sparking a connection that grows quietly through letters and late-night phone calls. They nurture a budding love without ever meeting, an intimate thread that strengthens with every exchange. To mark their growing bond, Kamali sews a rose-embroidered woollen sweater and sends it off to him, a tangible symbol of the day they hope to meet face to face.

Surya soon relocates to Bangalore for work and finds a new life staying with Shivu. Kamali follows, eager to secure a job of her own, and ends up staying with her friend Mary. In the city, Dayana, Surya’s boss, is instantly drawn to him, but his heart remains loyal to Kamali. As they cross paths in crowded streets and chance encounters, the two repeatedly miss recognizing one another, leading to a string of misunderstandings that mix humor with longing and star-crossed tension.

Kamali faces a tough choice when a tempting job offer appears that would move her to Singapore, a move that would push her away from Surya.
