Wrong Turn at Tahoe

Joshua and his boss Vincent are injured with gunshot wounds as they travel to the hospital, both in severe pain. The scene sets the tense tone and introduces their relationship and current predicament. Joshua begins to reflect on a past traumatic event from his childhood.

In a flashback, Joshua recalls witnessing his father being shot in front of him, highlighting a traumatic event from his youth. This memory provides context for Joshua's emotional state and past trauma affecting his present.

Joshua and his partner Mickey visit individuals who owe money to Vincent. They encounter a drug addict who reveals that Frankie Tahoe plans to kill Vincent, prompting them to take action to protect their boss.

Joshua and Mickey locate Tahoe at a nightclub. During their interaction, Tahoe insults their religion, which provokes Vincent to attack and beat Tahoe to death with a baseball bat. They then dispose of the body in a landfill, escalating the violence.

While dumping Tahoe's body, Vincent reveals to Joshua that he has been having an affair with Mickey’s wife. Subsequently, Vincent kills Mickey, intensifying the betrayal and violence among the characters.

At breakfast, Joshua expresses his weariness of the violence and intends to retire. Vincent admits to violent outbursts but insists Joshua owes him his life, refusing to let him leave the criminal life, leading to tension.

Vincent and Joshua are confronted by two men watching Vincent's house. Vincent answers a call from Nino, a powerful crime boss, and they are taken to meet him, indicating they are under threat from organized crime.

Vincent responds to Nino’s accusations about Tahoe's death. Nino demands restitution, but Vincent rejects all options, insulting Nino and causing him to walk away, showing the tension between crime factions.

Back at his house, Vincent discovers his wife has been brutally murdered, profoundly shocking him. Vincent offers Joshua severance pay and orders him to leave the city, but Joshua refuses, showing resolve to continue their fight.

Joshua and Vincent return to Nino's house at night to seek revenge. Joshua fights Nino's henchmen downstairs while Vincent confronts Nino upstairs, leading to a prolonged gunfight and the death of Nino.

During the fight, Vincent kills a man who previously murdered his wife, and Joshua is wounded in a shootout with Nino’s wife. Joshua manages to walk away after both are shot, with unresolved tensions lingering.

In the final scene, Vincent is driving and Joshua, injured, sits in the back. Joshua recalls that Vincent murdered his father, fueling his anger. He menaces Vincent with a handgun, but the movie ends on an unresolved note as he considers whether to shoot.
