Okayo, a roaming outlaw nicknamed Benten for the striking tattoo of the Buddhist Goddess of Love that covers her back, is pursued by bounty hunters who covet the ink as a prize. While on the run she finds refuge in Seigaku's arms, a shakuhachi player whose back bears a tattoo of Kisshoten, the Goddess of Prosperity, granting her protection.
