Cecil B. DeMille portrays a sharply comic look at marriage. Robert and Beth Bordon are a couple who barely communicate. Robert meets nightclub singer Sally, prompting a hasty divorce. As he tires of Sally’s shallow ways, Beth begins to revamp her appearance. The pair reunite and rekindle their love while vacationing at a summer resort.
