Who Am I

In the interrogation room, Benjamin tells Hanne he has information about FR13NDS and MRX and offers to hand them over if she listens. He frames his knowledge as a chance to bring down two dangerous hacker groups and asks for her attention.

He describes a troubled past with absent parents and a mother’s suicide. He explains how he found belonging on the Internet, learned programming at 14, and idolized MRX as a mysterious hero who can hack into any system.

One night while delivering pizzas, he helps Marie with her exam troubles and hacks the university servers to download the questions. He is caught by a security guard and arrested. Since he has no prior criminal record, he is sentenced to community service.

During community service, Benjamin meets Max, who introduces Stephan and Paul. They form the CLAY hacking group and use Benjamin's house as a base after moving his grandmother to a nursing home. The group starts with pranks that make them famous.

Dumpster diving and phishing enable CLAY to infiltrate the BND building. They hack internal servers and print the 'NO SYSTEM IS SAFE' logo all around the building. MRX is impressed by their audacity.

After celebrating in a club, Benjamin discovers Max kissing Marie. He refuses to let them into the house and lashes out at Marie when she visits. This marks a major rift between Benjamin and the rest of CLAY.

Feeling inferior, Benjamin secretly contacts MRX, offering the BND data. MRX is impressed, but the next day Krypton is murdered. It turns out Krypton was a double agent working with Hanne, and CLAY is branded as terrorists.

To clear their name, CLAY agrees to hack Europol in exchange for MRX's identity. They travel to The Hague to breach Europol’s headquarters but face locked doors, blocked access, and the building’s security challenges. They attempt social engineering and phishing as options to gain entry.

Benjamin uses social engineering to trick a guard and plants a hacking device inside Europol. He hacks into internal servers and provides MRX with an entrance, secretly encoded inside a Trojan to trap MRX later. MRX anticipates this and captures Benjamin on camera, exposing his ploy.

Benjamin returns to the hotel to find the trio murdered and decides to surrender to Hanne. He agrees to enter a witness protection program in exchange for capturing FR13NDS and MRX.

Hanne notices a palm wound that matches Max's, realizing that Max, Stephan and Paul are fabrications. A doctor explains Benjamin's mother's mental illness history, suggesting a genetic predisposition. This leads Hanne to suspect that Benjamin alone was CLAY.

Hanne grants him access to the witness protection program and helps him change his identity. He leaves with a new appearance, hoping to stay invisible.

On a Scandlines ferry heading north, Benjamin, now blonde, is joined by Marie, Max, Stephan and Paul. He boasts about the greatest social engineering hack and hints at his plan to mislead Hanne.

In the final scheming, the group learns in a server room that Benjamin didn't truly erase his identity, but erased it as part of the plan. They intend to feed Hanne a story with deliberate holes and let her grief push her to grant protection.

At a press conference announcing the supposed defeat of FR13NDS and MRX, Hanne smiles as she realizes the truth of Benjamin's deception. The film closes with Benjamin walking away, still aiming to stay invisible despite the publicity.
