Inventor Jonathan Bass (Tom Kennedy) works for the government and makes a mistake by moving next door to the lazy, obtuse Shemp. Shemp wrecks Bass’s garage, car and china, then convinces Bass’s wife (Christine McIntyre) that the blunders are Jonathan’s fault. While Bass develops an Army bomb, Shemp pops up in the lab basement offering his “help.”
