Chinese prince T’Su Wong Shih loves Quan Yin, a gardener’s daughter, despite his uncle’s plan for a noble marriage. After studying in the United States he returns to San Francisco, finds her at a slave auction and pledges $5,000 to free her. Lacking the money, he earns a three‑year work contract, later wins a lottery prize, and confronts a Chinese gangster threatening the auctioneer. T’Su defeats the thug, rescues Quan Yin and claims her as his wife.
