In pre‑WWII Germany a kleptomaniac who loves fine jewelry keeps stealing, but each theft is mysteriously paid for by an unknown man. A detective finds a scented glove that belongs to a nightclub singer; both his friend and the benefactor fall for her, but he is unmasked as a criminal who is arrested, allowing the detective’s friend to court the singer.
