“I had to stop her… at any cost… that’s why I pulled the trigger!” After famed nightclub singer Marian Washburn suddenly loses her voice, her loyal pianist Luke Jordan promotes the young newcomer Susan Caldwell as a temporary replacement. Susan garners early acclaim but quits after a few performances; soon after, she is gunned down, and Marian quickly becomes the prime suspect.
