A mordant work that treats Chile’s 1970 political crisis with sensitivity, avoiding caricature and acknowledging human fallibility. Blending staged scenes with documentary footage, it captures the turbulent weeks before Salvador Allende’s election and juxtaposes personal conversations with historic moments, revealing a nation’s hopes and anxieties.
