The film offers no visible action, organized into three brief scenes. First, two people enter a room, speak briefly and listen to the Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever” on the radio. Later, a man played by filmmaker Hollis Frampton appears and dies on the floor. Finally, the apartment’s female owner is seen and heard on the phone, calmly speaking of the dead stranger she has never met.
