Volcano High

Having been expelled from his previous schools due to his lack of control of his powers, Kyung-soo arrives at Volcano High determined to prove himself. On his first day he still feels like an outsider, with no real friends besides Shimma and Golbangi. Golbangi even warns him about Chae-yi’s reputation as Icy Jade, signaling the tougher social terrain ahead. He hopes Volcano High will be the last place where he can prove himself.

Hak-rim is shown crafting a tea-based antidote for the principal. On his way to deliver it, he intervenes to prevent Kyung-soo and Jang Ryang from fighting, diffusing the tension and reminding Ryang not to start trouble. This moment hints at Hak-rim's protective role amid rising conflicts.

Vice Principal Hak-sa engineers a power grab to become principal and frames Hak-rim for stealing an ancient manuscript that could end the feuding. The scheme appears to gain traction as Hak-sa succeeds in imprisoning Hak-rim. The principal remains alive but in a happiness-induced coma, and the Dark Oxen gang has taken over the school.

Most students begin to believe Kyung-soo framed Hak-rim, spreading distrust across the student body. Chae-yi believes Kyung-soo's innocence and tells Yo-seon that she suspects Ryang is behind the framing.

Chae-yi refuses the offer and Kyung-soo defends her during a confrontation, eventually defeating Ryang.

During a prison visitation, Chae-yi and Yo-seon report Ryang's involvement to Hak-rim, convincing him that Kyung-soo could be the key to restoring order. Hak-rim agrees that meeting Kyung-soo could be crucial and asks them to arrange it. This marks a turning point as Hak-rim begins to align with Kyung-soo's cause.

Hak-sa accelerates his takeover by calling forth Mr. Ma and his gang known as the Five Teachers. They begin punishing students for minor infractions and tightening control over the school. Mr. Ma recognizes Kyung-soo from a previous school and uses that recognition to compel him to fight.

Kyung-soo agrees to be guided and Hak-rim trains him to properly control and master his powers. These training sessions take place in the boys' shower room and are pivotal for Kyung-soo's development. In a moment of progress, Kyung-soo accidentally wets Chae-yi, and she begins to develop romantic feelings for him.

Kyung-soo and Mr. Ma clash in a lengthy battle. Kyung-soo defeats and kills Mr. Ma, then opens a box to reveal there is no manuscript. The students realize Hak-rim's words about the manuscript being a metaphor, and that Kyung-soo was the one capable of restoring order.

With Mr. Ma dead, Hak-sa loses control and the remaining four teachers abandon him. Hak-rim's charges are dismissed and he is set free. The principal returns to normal and leads Volcano High again.

Kyung-soo is recognized as the one destined to restore order and fights Ryang fairly, winning without fear of expulsion. He graduates from high school, making his family proud for once.

In the closing shots, Kyung-soo poses with the clubs in photos. Chae-yi notices Yo-seon writing letters to Hak-rim and urges her to tell him of her feelings soon. Chae-yi continues writing more letters and Hak-sa remains in the same induced coma after his loss.
