Starring

Oscar Dominguez

Recording a meeting between a filmmaker and Óscar Domínguez—Spanish painter born in La Laguna in 1906, died in Paris 1957—the film “Visite” shows Domínguez, an admirer of Picasso and disciple of Breton, alone, far from exhibitions, in an austere, povera style without sound or flashy camera work. Resnais’s unfinished project asks experts why it remained incomplete.
