A priest (Robert Ginty) discovers he fathered a child while serving in Vietnam; the mother and child have moved to Houston’s Little Saigon district. He travels to Texas, confronting prejudice against Vietnamese people, especially in the local fishing community. Determined to set things right, he resorts to fists more often than priestly counsel.
