Set against the political repression and the optimism of Brazil’s “miracle” era in the 1970s, the film follows a group of teenagers as they navigate school, future aspirations, nightly dances, romantic quarrels and tensions with their parents. Over three days they experience the fleeting, hopeful “green years” of youth, a brief dream of freedom.
