Inspired by real events in Valparaiso’s port, the film follows four impoverished siblings after their unemployed father is jailed for cattle theft. Abandoned and forced to survive on the streets, they are shown in four episodes from the children’s perspective, depicting their gradual slide into marginality and crime, driven by a brutal social environment that leaves them few choices.
