Jayarajan, the enthusiastic assistant manager at the tea plantation, decides to loot a huge amount from the company. He lures two debt-ridden subordinates, Chandran and Johnny, into the conspiracy. They reluctantly agree to join the plot, setting the story in motion.

During their ill-fated attempt, A. K. Menon, the plantation manager, catches Chandran and Johnny red-handed. The group realizes the danger of being exposed. The mood tightens as the crime moves from planning to confrontation.

Jayarajan goes to Menon's house at night, asks Johnny and Chandran to wait outside, and then negotiates with Menon before killing him. He escapes unhindered and maintains a calm demeanor the next day. The discovery of the murder sets the police on a new path.

The following day, Jayarajan behaves as if nothing happened and offers help to the police. He maintains his outward composure, which keeps investigators off balance. The conspiracy seems to be progressing unseen.

Chandran and Johnny feel the weight of their actions and worry about exposure. Jayarajan reassures them and pledges to stay silent, keeping the truth buried. Their fear lingers as the aftermath unfolds.

In a rapid turn of events, Jayarajan is elevated to the position of Manager of the plantation company. His new authority allows him to steer financial matters and influence decisions. The power shift strengthens his control over everyone around him.

Devi, Menon’s widowed wife, arrives at the plantation for terminal financial formalities. Her grief is tempered by frustration over Menon’s negligence, creating a ripe ground for new dynamics. Jayarajan begins to position himself in her life as a potential beneficiary.

Having already entangled with Padma, a nurse, Jayarajan seduces Devi and begins to plot siphoning off her potential bereavement benefits. His manipulation deepens as he juggles multiple affairs. Padma remains complicit as long as it serves his interests.

Cop Ravi becomes suspicious of Jayarajan despite lacking solid proof. He starts digging into Jayarajan’s past and uncovers loose ends, keeping the investigation under close watch. The tension between appearance and reality deepens.

Jayarajan does not abandon either Devi or Padma, continuing both relationships while maintaining his cover. His dual life grows more risky as Ravi watches him and the truth edges closer. The plantation becomes a stage for his duplicity.

Fearing Johnny might reveal the truth, Jayarajan orchestrates Johnny’s jeep accident and murders Padma by strangulation, making both look like suicides to avoid suspicion. Chandran is coerced into silence with threats. The murders secure Jayarajan's control but raise the stakes for the rest.

Chandran informs Vasanthi, the elderly owner’s daughter, about Menon’s death and the true sequence of events. They decide to involve the police, seeking justice and accountability before the matter spirals further. The estate residents begin to sense that the facade is breaking.

Before Ravi can arrest him, Jayarajan jumps from a height and commits suicide. The case ends with his death, leaving the truth to be exposed by others. Chandran and Devi confront the consequences of the murder and the path not taken.
