The documentary provides a distinctive program for local stations, timed to the 50th anniversary of Watson and Crick’s 1953 announcement that DNA stores hereditary information like computer software. It examines where that information originated, featuring scientists who argue that natural selection and chemistry alone cannot explain life’s emergence and that the cell’s inner workings suggest purposeful design.
