This documentary follows artist Ben Rivers as he reconnects with Jake, a solitary man living a self-sufficient life in a remote cabin surrounded by forest and moorland. Filmed using vintage 16mm cameras, the film intimately portrays Jake's daily routines and philosophies, revealing a resourceful individual deeply connected to his environment. Through Rivers' observations, a profound bond emerges between the filmmaker and his subject, exploring themes of purpose, solitude, and the contrast between modern life and a simpler existence.
