Turkey Shoot

New arrivals Chris Walters, Rita Daniels, and Paul Anders are brought into Camp 47, each arrested for helping rebels, prostitution suspicion, or political dissent. The camp's brutal regime is immediately evident as Thatcher oversees harsh discipline. Chris narrowly avoids rape by guards Red and Ritter, underscoring the prisoners' precarious situation.

Thatcher's wrath is exercised through brutal punishment. Ritter beats a petite woman to death on Thatcher's orders, and a male prisoner is forced to play a deadly 'football' game, ending with him burned when the gasoline orbs ignite. These acts establish the regime's lethal grip over the prisoners.

Thatcher and his VIP circle select five prisoners to be prey in a 12-hour hunt. Paul Anders, Chris Walters, Rita Daniels, and Dodge are initially chosen, with Griffin added after he starts a fight with Dodge.

With a three-hour head start, the prisoners are released at half-hour intervals into the wilderness. They quickly split up, each trying to survive while the guards monitor from a distance.

Dodge is the first to be captured. Alph breaks off the pursuit, bites and chews on Dodge's toe, and then kills him with brutal blows. The hunt continues as the other prisoners scramble to stay alive.

Thatcher toys with Paul, firing near-misses from a sniper rifle to force him up a difficult rock formation. Paul manages to trigger a rock slide, which disrupts Thatcher's pursuit and buys him time to escape.

Griffin launches a bold move by jumping Red and taking his assault rifle. He is pinned down by Jennifer and Thatcher, arrows incapacitate him, and he is run over during the ensuing chaos.

Jennifer stalks Rita on horseback, traps her, and rapes and kills her. Rita's death demonstrates the guards' brutality and raises the survivors' resolve.

Mallory and Chief Guard Ritter corner Chris in a sugarcane field and attempt to smoke her out by setting the field alight. Paul intervenes, shoots Ritter in the groin, and they escape as Ritter burns to death.

Ritter catches up to them, but Chris cuts his hands off with a machete and he bleeds to death. The pair realize they are on an island with no way out, and they vow to fight back.

Paul and Chris kill Tito and steal his buggy, arming themselves for a counterattack. They storm Camp 47 with a mounted machine gun and free the other prisoners, turning the tables on the guards.

The uprising prompts a RAAF bomber to destroy Camp 47. Prisoners raid the armoury, Chris destroys the communications center, Jennifer is killed by an explosive arrow, and Thatcher is blown apart by machine-gun fire as napalm engulfs the camp.

With the camp in ruins, the rebels led by Paul and Chris rally the rescued prisoners and march into the mountains. They take supplies and prepare to continue resistance in the rugged terrain.
