The ending of Trapped Inn leaves many questions, but it suggests that what the characters experienced was not just a virus or monster, but something far more alien and inexplicable. The characters, mostly portrayed as careless and disposable, are picked off one by one by a smoky, CGI-animated creature that appears as an alien "smoke monster," attacking without clear reason.
