Las Vegas promoters planning a revue starring Jahna Steele invited trans women to compete in “The World’s Most Beautiful Transsexual Pageant,” a two‑day event featuring swimsuit, evening‑gown and talent rounds. About 20 contestants arrived for all‑night rehearsals, after which eight finalists were chosen and three winners earned revue jobs. The documentary follows backstage, profiling six participants—from Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Antonio and Columbia, SC—showcasing their families, personal journeys and the search for self‑acceptance.
