As Nina prepares for her First Holy Communion, Mula’s brother and his family arrive for a weekend visit, along with Kaja, Mula's estranged younger sister who vanished six years prior. Unbeknownst to Nina, Kaja is her biological mother. Mula harbors anxieties that Kaja’s reappearance might threaten her relationship with her daughter and lead to her taking Nina away.
