A legendary Japanese samurai detective series from the early 1990s gained a cult following in Australia. Originally titled Ronin Suiri Tentai, meaning roughly Deductive Reasoning Ronin, it became known as Top Knot Detective in the West. The series was a unique cultural phenomenon, spearheaded by Takashi Tawagoto, who served as writer, producer, director, and lead actor. Despite his lack of experience in acting, fighting, or writing, Tawagoto’s vision created a memorable and enduring series.
