A spot‑on, hilarious spoof of 1970s Japanese TV cop shows, it follows chrome‑domed Officer Genda as he transfers to a new precinct just as radical terrorists hijack a uranium shipment and demand five billion yen. Genda’s oddball team—Detective Fatty, a champion eater; Detective Big Dick, abnormally endowed; Detective Shorty, a speedy weightlifter; and Mr. Handsome, a ladies’ man—must solve the case, while the Rug Cop’s lethal projectile toupee becomes the deadliest weapon. Kawasaki blends vintage cop‑show love with comic genius for a silly masterpiece of Rug Power.
