At the Hall of Inventions, Frank presents his jet pack to a panel of judges, but Judge David Nix dismisses it as a flawed creation. However, a young girl named Athena sees the potential in his invention, giving him a glimmer of hope.

After receiving a mysterious pin from Athena, Frank is guided to the 'It's a Small World' ride. Upon boarding a boat, the pin activates a hidden passage that transports him to a futuristic cityscape, igniting his sense of wonder.

In the breathtaking futuristic landscape, Frank's jet pack unexpectedly repairs itself, allowing him to soar through the sky. This moment of exhilaration reignites his optimism, although it quickly dissipates as doubt creeps back in.

The narrative shifts to Casey Newton, a young optimist determined to make a difference. She sabotages demolition work at the NASA launch pad, demonstrating her commitment to fighting for the future despite her father's concerns.

Casey reminds her father of the fable about two wolves, illustrating the struggle between hope and despair. She encourages him to remain hopeful, emphasizing the importance of the 'wolf you feed' in determining their fate.

After being arrested for her protests, Casey discovers a mysterious pin that transports her to a serene field overlooking a futuristic city. This event sparks her curiosity and propels her on a quest for understanding.

Casey visits the shop 'Blast From The Past' in Houston, Texas, seeking answers about the pin. The encounter turns dangerous when the shop owners attempt to eliminate her using lasers, revealing the sinister nature of her quest.

Just in time, Athena appears and uses her time manipulation abilities to rescue Casey. She reveals herself as an advanced robot, showcasing her skills and persuading Casey to seek out Frank to help them fight against Governor Nix.

Athena and Casey hit the road to find Frank, encountering various obstacles along the way, including robotic threats and the forces of Governor Nix. Their mission becomes one of hope amidst adversity.
