A diligent tailor sends his three sons to seek fortune. The eldest completes a carpentry apprenticeship and receives a tiny table that magically serves any delicacy, but an innkeeper steals it. The middle son, apprenticed to a miller, is given a donkey that spits gold, yet also loses his wages to the same innkeeper. The youngest, after learning the turner’s trade and receiving a sturdy club, uses it to help his brothers reclaim the enchanted table and the golden‑spitting donkey, while the deceitful innkeeper gets a fitting surprise.
