Violet Moon is determined to control every aspect of her life, especially the decisions of her son and daughter‑in‑law, who plan to sell the farm where she spent her happiest years. Her grip loosens when a figure from her past resurfaces at a local spiritualist club, threatening to reveal a long‑buried secret and expose Violet’s scheme to stop the sale. In trying to silence the newcomer, she overlooks that even enemies can have allies.
