In October 1947 in Loudun, Leon and Marie Besnard celebrate their eighteenth anniversary with friends and Ady, a former German prisoner they’ve taken in. Days later Leon dies. Louise, a friend and likely Leon’s mistress, claims he told her on his deathbed that Marie poisoned him. Marie is arrested, yet questions remain if she also killed twelve other family members.
