Jean and her sister (Macha Grenon) have been obsessed since high school with Yoshi, a Japanese pianist who once lived across the street. At a family reunion on Vancouver Island, the narrative shifts between past and present as Yoshi, now world‑famous, gives a concert in Vancouver. Amy longs to see him; her sister remains indifferent, sparking the siblings to confront old passions, rivalry and the life choices shaped by youthful fantasies.
