Following his mother's death, a middle‑aged insurance employee inherits her modest cottage with a garden. He sells the property, which sits on undeveloped land near the city center, becoming wealthy enough to purchase a large country house. To celebrate, he hosts a garden party for his office colleagues. As drinks flow, the guests gradually drop their inhibitions, exposing hidden personalities, frustrations and secrets.
