Stylized as a silent film, the story explores the political and philosophical tensions of 1913 through the journey of a young man known as Peter the Lett. Beginning with a mundane clerk job and a budding romance in Riga, he becomes entangled in a tragicomic and surreal race. His travels lead him to Vienna, where he prepares for a world revolution, then to Freud’s salon for psychoanalysis, and finally to Paris for a captivating encounter with Mata Hari.
