The Woman in Red

Theodore 'Teddy' Pierce enjoys a stable life as the director of information at an advertising agency in San Francisco. His routine existence is abruptly disrupted when he finds himself reflecting on recent events from a precarious position on a ledge.

While parking in the underground garage, Teddy spots a captivating woman in a red dress. She stands over an air vent, and the scene instantly ignites an infatuation within him, a feeling he has never experienced before.

Teddy tries to communicate with the 'woman in red' at the office but ends up mistakenly asking his plain-looking colleague Milner out to dinner. This miscommunication sets off a chain of misunderstandings that complicate his life.

In an attempt to meet the woman in red, Teddy enlists his friend Michael to call him at home with an emergency. When the moment arrives, Teddy panics and abandons the idea, leaving Milner waiting in the restaurant, angry and confused.

After being stood up, an irate Milner retaliates by vandalizing Teddy's car every day at work. Teddy feels the consequences of his actions as he endures her wrath throughout the day.

During a staff meeting, Teddy learns that the alluring woman he is infatuated with is a model for their new advertising campaign. Emboldened, he decides to seek her out, ignoring the advice of his friends.

After several awkward attempts, Teddy meets the woman in red, now introduced as Charlotte, in Golden Gate Park. Their initial encounter is marked by Teddy's awkward charm and an apology for the restaurant incident.

Charlotte unexpectedly invites Teddy to dinner only to cancel last minute due to work in Los Angeles. Teddy concocts a scheme to make an excuse to leave his wife without revealing his true intentions.

Teddy's plan to meet Charlotte goes awry when bad weather reroutes his flight, resulting in an unplanned night at the airport. Nevertheless, he begins to feel a rush of excitement that he has long been missing in his life.

On a date with Charlotte, Teddy is shocked to find a surprise birthday party for himself at home. Caught between his family and his infatuation, he struggles to balance both worlds.

After discreetly sneaking out with friends to meet Charlotte, Teddy witnesses a high-fashion photoshoot. The chemistry between him and Charlotte crescendos until a sudden interruption reveals her marital status.

In a comedic turn of events, Teddy is forced to hide outside on the window ledge when Charlotte's husband returns unexpectedly. This situation brings an audience, including firemen and reporters, who are concerned for his safety.

As Teddy sits precariously on the ledge, he overhears intimate sounds from inside, provoking a moment of clarity. He suddenly reflects on the value of his family and the absurdity of his actions.
