The film follows three army veterans who, after being discharged, spend a night camping in the countryside. While they sleep, each awakens to encounter a different elven brother who bestows a magical gift: one receives a harp that summons servants at his command, another an endless pouch of gold, and the third a hat that can conjure any object except money and living people.
