In the rugged mountains of Hida, humble peasant Kyonosuke dreams of becoming a samurai. His wish is granted when he is chosen as one of three shadow doubles for Lord Yasutaka. After months of brutal, relentless training, a fierce battle claims the lord and the other two shadows, leaving Kyonosuke to inherit the lord’s mantle and confront his destiny.
