After being fired for his age, an elderly actor panics about telling his wife and daughter. He disguises himself as a beggar, receives a five‑dollar gold piece from his daughter's boyfriend by mistake, and a chase follows with police and the boyfriend. Caught, his daughter recognizes and forgives him, and the troupe soon reinstates him, delighting his family.
