This film explores the inherent violence and coercion that shape contemporary societies. While daily interactions are often peaceful and consensual, the state's power relies on the constant threat of force, enabling it to create and enforce laws. By suppressing any challenge to its authority, the state effectively maintains a monopoly on violence, a necessary condition for its existence and control.
